Laser Periodontal Therapy™

At ADSI we strive to provide the most conservative, effective, and least invasive treatment possible. Such periodontal treatment is found only in the latest laser therapy technology named Periolase. Laser periodontal surgery eliminates any cutting or suturing of the gums as well as reduces post-operative pain and sensitivity to little to none. This specific Nd:YAG soft tissue laser works by effecting only the pigmented or bad bacteria that exists and infects the tissue and bone under the gums. In effect, the laser removes only the disease and leaves behind all the elements needed for the regeneration of healthy tissue and bone. The procedure requires less chair time and little to no down time for patients. Often patients return to work the next day with minimal discomfort or sensitivity. ADSI is the only certified specialty practice to offer this technology to patients in southeastern Wisconsin. ADSI was trained and certified by the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in the specific treatment of laser periodontal surgery with the Nd:YAG soft tissue laser. Treatment Procedure

1. Perio probe indicates excessive pocket depth.
2. Laser light removes bacteria and diseased tissue.
3. Ultrasonic scaler and special hand instruments are used to remove root surface tarter.
4. Laser finishes cleaning pocket and aids in sealing the pocket closed so new germs cannot enter.
5. Healing of gums to clean root surface occurs.
6. Bite trauma is adjusted.
7. Healing occurs.
